Jirawat Tansuriyawong became a full-time artist after graduating from the College of Fine Arts in Bangkok. He then traveled to Chiang Mai, another important city in Thailand where both senior and emerging artists gather. Being acquainted with senior artists and working on commission for the reputed gallery there allowed him to hone his skills and gain experiences.
Jirawat began by painting the flower Torch Ginger, which has been his signature for over 20 years and continues to inspire the name of his gallery in River City Bangkok, where he has been a resident artist since 2021. Even after more than a decade, he still paints flowers but has continuously developed his approach.
In addition, he had the opportunity to work at Shanghai Disneyland Park as part of the artist team responsible for creating the fantasy scenography and landscapes of the theme park. This experience allowed him to apply techniques and knowledge to his paintings.
